Companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard are a special type of NPCs that can be recruited to join the player's party and usually aid the player during combat and exploration. Companions have their own set of stats, abilities, equipment, lore, making them unique and distinct from one another. Throughout the game, players will meet possible NPCs that can be recruited as a companion who joins your party if certain conditions are met.
Except for Harding, who made her first appearance in the previous game Dragon Age: Inquisition, all other 6 Companions are brand new, and are debuting in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Who is the best Companion in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?
All 7 Companions are viable options to conform the party. Players may need to balance the party, depending on their own character's class, but since each class has specializations, there are plenty of customization options on any party composition. But it is important to consider certain tips when creating your party:
- Consider your own character's class when choosing Companions. Avoid overstepping roles and having multiple characters that possess the same abilities
- Try to balance the party by choosing companions that can fulfil different roles. This will make for a well-rounded and versatile party.
